Brimosun P 0.15% 5 ml
The active ingredient of Brimosun P is Brimonidine Tartrate. It is an α2-adrenergic receptor agonist that is prescribed mainly for ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Brimosun P is used in the treatment, prevention, control and improvement of the following diseases and symptoms such as: ocular hypertension and open angle glaucoma. Brimosun P works by reducing the amount of fluid inside the eye and thereby decreasing pressure inside the eye.
The recommended dose is usually one drop in the affected eye 2 to 3 times a day for the prescribed period of time. The recommended dose may vary as per the severity of condition, response to treatment, drug interaction and so on. The dose will be prescribed after examining your eye thoroughly.
You need to wash your hands first before applying the drops. Before putting the eye drops you should tilt your head back and then with a finger pull the lower lid of the eye so as to form a pouch and then put the drop. Close the eye for sometime before resuming normal activity.
An overdose of Brimosun P can lead to worsening of situation hence it should be avoided as much as possible. If there is a case of overdose then you must consult your doctor on an urgent basis.
Patients using Brimosun P may encounter unwanted side effects such as: abnormal taste, abnormal vision, blurred vision, feeling lightheaded, eye irritation, reddening of eye, swelling in eye, allergic rejection in eye.
